What is Yoga?

Yoga is a Sanskrit work meaning “to yoke, to bind, to unite”.

Yoga helps us to achieve our highest potential physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. Through conscious movement and breathwork we are able to move our bodies through asanas (yoga poses) to strengthen and stretch our physical body, release energetic and emotional blockages, and quiet our minds to relaxation relieving ourselves from the constant daily noise (STRESS!). In this space we are capable of yoking, or connecting, to our higher-selves and our surroundings allowing us to feel whole and united.

Hot Vinyasa

In our heated and humidified studio students are guided through a flowing sequence of poses that coordinate breath with movement. The above body temperature of the studio allows a deeper opening of the muscles and a quicker release of toxins through sweat. All levels welcome.

Kundalini Inspired Yoga

For all levels, these classes are a dynamic blend of yoga postures, various movements, breathing techniques, mantra, music and meditation which teach you the art of relaxation, self-healing & elevation. Kundalini inspired yoga is the yoga of "awareness" and enables you to experience the clarity and beauty of your Soul.

More about Kundalini Yoga:

Again, it is the “yoga of awareness” and speaks/teaches about Us having 10 Bodies (Soul Body, Negative Mind, Positive Mind, Neutral Mind, Arcline, Auric Body, Pranic Body, Subtle Body and the Radiant Body). Specific kriyas/physical sets, meditations and mantras are taught to active/balance and improve these 10 Bodies, and kundalini yoga also targets the 8 limbs of yoga although the yamas and niyamas are “up to ourselves” so to speak. The Kundalini Energy is said to be a coiled, sleeping serpent situated around the end of the spine; the goal is to awaken this energy or God Consciousness (activate it to flow through the chakra system and “up the spine”) in order to reach higher state/s of Divine Consciousness. Each Kundalini class begins and ends the same no matter where in the world, and there are specific sets targeting placed in a set order, for a set number of minutes.
